Downtown Tucson is one of the most walkable historic districts in the Southwest: flat sidewalks, a compact grid, and more than a century of architecture packed into a few blocks. A guided walking tour is the difference between strolling past these buildings and understanding what happened inside them.

Ours is a haunted-history walk. Every stop is a real place with documented history and reported hauntings, researched from primary archives by a published historian. You will hear about the Dillinger capture at Hotel Congress, the 1970 Pioneer Hotel fire, and the vendetta that ended at the train depot, all while walking the streets where they happened. Read the full downtown Tucson history behind the route.

Who the walk is for

Visitors who want more than a bar crawl, locals showing friends around, history buffs, date nights, and anyone curious about the real stories behind downtown. It is rated PG-13, all-ages friendly with parental discretion, and runs rain or shine on flat, paved sidewalks. For a private group walk, see our private tours; for other evening ideas, see things to do downtown at night.
